Progo street is a street (duh) in Bandung in which you can find various places to eat and hang around with other people, or just yourself.
The kinds of food that you can find in Progo Street is diverse, you can find traditional foods, western foods, and eastern foods.
If you're searching for traditional foods then you can start from the very beginning of the road and I'm talking about the one near Jonas Photo. There you can find a lot of street vendors and warung. So if you're ever short of cash and you're near this area then yeah you should try going here. And I'm also sure that in most of the restaurants in Progo Street, they have at least one traditional menu. Just like in Gigglebox you can find nasi goreng (Indonesian Fried Rice) even though it's a western themed restaurant. Kopi Progo also provides traditional foods.
Right so moving on to western foods. Just as I have said one sentence before, Gigglebox is a western themed restaurant and it's a really unique place because it gives you that vintage vibe. Another place you can go to is Hummingbird eatery and guesthouse. Hummingbird is also unique in my opinion because when you go inside you see this place/thing that looks like a bird's nest.
If you're looking for eastern food then you should go find a place called Qahwa. It's located near Jonas Photo and near the street vendors.
Now if you're looking for Asian foods there's a place called Tokyo Connection which mainly sells Japanese foods. You can find varieties of sushi, donburi and other traditional Japanese foods.
Hummingbird eatery and guesthouse also has its own Asian Menu.
If you're not feeling really hungry and you're searching for some light meals may I suggest Mom's Bakery? Mom's Bakery is a place which sells baked goods and cakes. If you're looking for gluten free bread then you can find those here.
Another place you can go to is Rocca. It's a really comfortable place to hang out with and they provide delicious light meals!
So yeah if you ever go to Bandung and you're looking for a place to meet up with your friends or family then you should try going to Progo Street and visit the restaurants and bakeries there. Hope this helps!
