AMAZING STRUCTURE

Greetings, blog readers. I will now tell you about an amazing structure and it is Habitat 67. It is a housing complex that's located in Montreal, Canada. I think this structure is really interesting and unusual. It looks like a bunch of cardboard boxes just randomly put together to make this amazing structure that is now considered an architectural landmark. Or another way to look at it is like a bunch of lego pieces put together. Either way, this structure is unique in its own way. It's designed by Moshe Safdie, an Israeli-Canadian architect. He is a famous architect and has made around 70 projects which is really cool. I'm really sure once you see the design of the structure you wont be able to easily forget it. Here's a picture:
And here's a panoramic view of the structure
Now the way I look at it, I see art. In the picture I see that the structure has been shaped into what looks like 3 bumps. Some parts of the building are pushed up, some are pushed in and you can also find a lot of gaps between the rooms. It's extraordinary and abstract and beautiful in a way. Though sometimes when I look at it, there are some parts of the building that look like they're going to fall but you know it wont because the architects had already thought of everything to make it work, I guess. Unless there's a disaster or something.
The building has a total of 12 stories and 146 residences varying in size.
This is a picture of Habitat 67's rooftop. From the rooftop you can see the view that's all around the structure and you can see the Saint Lawrence River clearly. I like rooftops because I think they're comfortable and you can spend hours and hours there. If I were to live there I think the rooftop would be my favorite place out of the whole structure. I would just read a book, or listen to music, have a cup of tea and just sit there and relax while enjoying the view. Okay, wow, I think I just got something else to think in my daydream.
From the picture above you can also see how the pathways, stairs, and bridges connect one room with another room, thus creating this famous structure. If I ever go there, I will probably get lost though, because it's so big and it looks so confusing, but I also know that if I ever go there I will be so excited.
Alright, so if you already think that's cool, then you should see how the rooms are like.
I love how simple yet complicated the interior design of the room is (Okay I guess that doesn't make any sense but that was my effort at being an interior design critic okay). I guess this is not what you would expect to see after you've seen the structure from the outside. The structure outside looks so dense because the rooms look they're they're somehow meshed together, yet the inside of this room has a lot of space and I feel like I can be comfortable and free there.
Sooo if you ever visit Montreal, Canada or you're somewhere around that place, I suggest you go visit this place. I'm sure you would not regret it.
I guess that's all I have to tell you about Habitat 67, thank you for reading. Bye!
