MATSWAPATI

On Saturday, the 27th of September SMAN 3 Bandung held an event which was a cultural festival in Lapangan Bali. The school held the event to help preserve the Sundanese culture and to introduce people to it.
I was a committee in the event and was in the decoration group. What the decoration group did was mostly decorate the place. The decoration group’s work started weeks before the festival started. We were divided into a few groups and I was in group 3. Group 3 was in charge of the gates.

But on the day of the festival I was put into the logistics group because the decoration group had nothing to do anymore since the decoration was all done. I came to Lapangan Bali at 5:30 AM. The committee had this uniform which was a brown shirt. And my brown shirt was too big on me so it was like wearing a jacket. Anyway we started to carry things around for the preparation of the event. I guess what I did all day was move and carry stuff around every time a performance was finished and another performance was about to begin. While my friends and I waited for a performance to end, we sat near the stage and talked. When we got hungry, we went to the bazaar to get some food or drink.
I remember when there were these guys on the stage singing some dangdut song, Pa Doni started dancing around and some girls joined in, including me. We started to follow Pa Doni's moves and it was really fun.
There were many cultural performances and they were all very interesting. Lapangan Bali got really crowded at 4 PM People started to gather around the stage when Barsena was about to perform. Barsena performed 3 songs beautifully and got a good reaction from the crowd. After Barsena performed, the next performance was the one that many people had come to see. Why? BECAUSE GLENN FREDLY WAS GOING TO PERFORM YAYY!
Glenn's performance was really awesome. The crowd kept cheering and cheering. I had a lot of fun too. I jumped and sang along to Glenn Fredly's songs.
After Glenn finished performing, there was a closing act which was a fire attraction.
Because I was a committee, I stayed in Lapangan Bali longer than other people and went home at 9. I live in Dago and it usually takes 15-30 minutes to get home. But that night, it took 1 and a half hours because there was an event in Dago called 'Dago Culinary Night'.
When I got home I was exhausted and slept immediately. I also slept in on the next day.

Unforgettable Experience

Well helloo there blog readers! How are you? I hope you're feeling good because I'm not. I've got like tons of homework but by doing this I will have one less to do so yeah let's do this. My assignment this time is to tell you about my unforgettable experience. But to be honest, I don't really remember a lot of things that happened in the past because I don't think I have a good memory. So I guess I'm gonna tell you about my unforgettable experiences.

First, I'm gonna tell you about this time when I almost fainted. I was in 1st grade when it happened I think. I was playing with my older brother and my younger sister. We were in a room and there was this mattress that was put up so it was leaning on the wall and were all playing with it. How did we play? We would hold on to the top of the mattress as it fell down. I know, it sounds pretty lame, but it was unbelievably fun. We were playing while screaming and laughing . Then I sat in front of the mattress that was leaning on the wall. My siblings then climbed on the mattress and hung on to the top of it. And you know what happened next. Their weight brought the mattress and down and it hit my in the back. I was lying down on the floor and I couldn't breathe. My breaths became really short and I tried to tell them to call my dad but my voice wouldn't come out. My vision became blurry too. What my siblings did was they just stared at me instead of calling my dad (yeah thanks a lot for that guys). I felt like I was going to die and my breathes became shorter and shorter. When I almost ran out of breaths, my brother told me to sit up and suddenly I started breathing normally again. And I cried afterwards (Pfft, weak). So that's the story of how I almost fainted.

Oh there was this other thing that I remember until now. This also happened when I was in the 1st grade of elementary school. So there was this person who sold martabak in front of my school and they were really delicious. One day, I just got home and I saw this Rp 20k on the table. I was really tempted to take it because no one was around and I really wanted to buy some martabak. Eventually there was this inner debate between my good side and the temptation to take the money. Sadly, my good side lost to the temptation and I stole the money to buy the martabak. After I bought the martabak, I ate it sneakily and out of everyone's sight. Then my grandmother suddenly came and asked my maid "Have you seen the Rp 20k that I put here? It's to pay the water gallons". After she said that I tensed up and I pretended not to know anything so I just sat there and stared at the wall. Then the maid came to me and asked me if I had seen the money. I lied and said that I had not seen the money and didn't know what she was talking about. She kept interrogating me and I felt like she already knew that I was the one who stole the money so eventually I fessed up and my grandmother was mad at me. She gave me a one hour speech about my bad actions and so yeah that's the story of how I stole money just to buy martabak and got caught. I was such a little thug :')

I also remember this time when I was riding my bike with my brother. I was in 4th grade. We were riding around the neighborhood but then raindrops started to fall down. The sudden change of weather made us turn back to go home in a hurry. The road was slippery and wet so when I turned my bike around, I fell and scraped my knee and hence, there was a nasty wound on my left knee. Because I was a 4th grader and I didn't like blood, I cried. My brother turned around to look at my fallen state and he helped me by yelling at me and telling me to get back on my bike and go home fast. But because my left knee wasn't in good condition I just walked limply while pushing my bike. I finally got home and my brother told the maid about what happened. I was still crying because it hurt. A lot. I was told to sit down while the maid cleaned my wound with water. My brother then came with medicinal alcohol and squirted the bottle which was above my wound. Then I freaking screamed. But then my mother came home and inspected the wound. My mother took me to the doctor and the doctor said it wasn't an ordinary wound but it wasn't a big deal. So the doctor gave my mom some things to help with the wound healing. But anyways, the wound left a scar and I still have it on my left knee until now.

Sooo yeah those are some of my unforgettable experiences. Thank you for reading!
